Terms of Use
Last updated 28 June 2026
By using IMEIProof you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.
The service
IMEIProof provides free, local identification of a mobile device's brand and model from its IMEI or TAC, and validates the IMEI checksum. It is an information tool only.
No warranty
The service and its data are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Device data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and a result is not a guarantee of a device's identity or condition.
What this is not
- It is not a blacklist, stolen, or lost-device check.
- It does not report carrier-lock, warranty, or activation status.
- A valid checksum does not mean a device is genuine, clean, or safe to buy. Do not rely on this tool for purchasing, insurance, or legal decisions.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service unlawfully, don't attempt to disrupt or overload it, and don't use automated means to scrape or hammer it.
Not affiliated
IMEIProof is not affiliated with or endorsed by GSMA, Apple, Samsung, or any manufacturer. Brand and model names are used for identification only (nominative fair use).
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IMEIProof and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the service or its results.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by Belgian law. Provider details are on the imprint.
