Privacy

Last updated 11 August 2026

IMEIProof is built to collect as little as technically possible. We keep no personal data about you.

What we don't do

  • No accounts, logins, or profiles.
  • No cookies and no third-party or cross-site trackers.
  • We do not store your IP address or build any profile of you.
  • The IMEI you look up is used only to answer that one request and is not saved.

How we count visitors

We keep one thing: anonymous daily tallies of how many people visit, how many pages are viewed, how many IMEI lookups are run, and which of the paid checks people ask about — nothing more. They are counts, not records: a tally goes up by one and that is the entire event. It uses no cookies and stores no IP address. To count a visitor only once per day without identifying anyone, we turn your IP address and browser into a short code using a secret that changes every day, keep only that code for the day, and discard it. The code can't be reversed to you and can't be linked from one day to the next, so there is no way to follow you over time. We store no per-visitor records — only the daily totals.

The checks we don't offer yet

Some paid checks are listed on the site before they exist, so we can see which ones are worth building. If you ask for one, we count that request against the service — nothing else — and tell you straight away that it is not available. Nothing is charged, no payment details are asked for, and your IMEI is not sent anywhere.

What stays on your device

Your theme choice (light, dark, or system) is kept only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to us and you can clear it at any time.

Device data

Brand and model results come from a public, manufacturer-publishable device dataset. We assert no rights over it and it is provided for identification only.
